Patrimonial education in school, with school and beyond school: a conversation with teachers in dialogue with Paulo Freire

The aim of this text is to conduct a dialogue with teachers about heritage education in the so-called formal environment education, without neglecting consider potential its relationship non-formal envrironment education. Thefore, debate starts from guidelines established by Ordinance/Iphan nr. 137/2016, which are described and detailed, demonstrating how thinking educator Paulo Freire permeates influences concept Historical Artistic National Heritage Institute, Brazil. argumentative path points sense that detailed defend based on dialogical, reflective critical perspective, effective participation communities people. Following teachings Freire’s work, must assume political dimension takes into account, horizontal democratic way, different knowledges, perspectives cosmovisions regarding cultural preservation processes.
